Just got featured again in the My Style section of STYLEBIBLE.PH! Posted a few though and thank God this one made it through! :) The My Style section of Style Bible is actually more like Look Book where you can post your own outfit and even browse from tons of them. Though you can't hype or even fan posters to follow their looks, My Style is actually great if you're into just looking for outfit inspirations and since it is Philippine-based, outfits there are usually for the Philippine trend and weather so it's easy to browse for the "what's in" and comfy outfits.
STREET STYLING
Last year, well I guess 'til now, I've been pulling off preppy looks for everyday wear, but honestly I looked like I've been aging fast with those clothes that people can say I'm already twenty-five, AND I'M JUST EIGHTEEN!! But seriously I'm twenty-one. So I decided to unpack my old clothes and shoes back to its rightful place, my closet. Here's a new look to get myself back on track and of course back to my younger fashion spirit.
SHOOT WITH THE BUNNY
First photoshoot for Debunny Studios! One of the growing local artists in Davao City. Though I'm no stranger to her since she'd been taking my photos for my fashion blog since... ever, she has finally decided to step it up a notch and built a platform to showcase her passion for photography, videography, music and art.
SWEATER LEATHER
Sweater and leather for the cold weather! Winter swept December in some parts of the globe, but not here in the Philippines. But hey! We all here dreamed of snow in our streets and breezing cold winds. Maybe winter is not that colorful but I would really want to try building a snowman and throwing some snow balls too! So here's my first outfit post in 2015.
MY STYLE
Look just made it to Style Bible!! I was really waiting for this outfit to be posted in the website and it is my first too. If you are tuning into Style Bible then watch out for my looks too, I'll be posting some of my outfits there from here and on.
MOURNING
I really don't know if I'm still playing it grunge or goth (or maybe just casual lol), I really can't say since I'm really steering away from the traditional pieces used in grunge fashion. No flannel or ratty shirts, just a white over-sized top, a black hat and creepers.
GRUNGE : BLACK
Grunge - is actually a subgenre of punk music that turned into a fashion statement later on which introduced torn and faded jeans, flannel shirts, and ratty t-shirts (That's according to my research of course), but now this fashion statement has really evolved into something more complicated, someone tampered basic grunge with hands from the modern world.
KEEPING THE CLASS
So yes I am finally entering the corporate world, that is if
I get a job soon or something, but I plan to be as casual and stylish as I can
when looking for a job or even when I am already in a job. Companies have high
standards and that wouldn’t just include your resume but it is essential that
you put on a look that will make that HR officer say; “YOU'RE HIRED!”
BOY | GIRL
Inspired from tumblr guys and lookbookers all around the world. I would like to thank skater boys, street-style fashionistas and some other guys that really inspired me to pull off this look. Yeah I've been hooking up with style inspirations from a couple of western-based websites and I'm just really excited to try one on and walk the Philippine streets.
BLACK ROSES
Summer ends in the Philippines and the rainy season is up to reign the skies. Everyone expects for the cold weather, but it seems like here in PH, the atmosphere just can't get enough of the summer heat. So instead of wearing pants or long sleeved clothes, I pulled out this look that is just right for the weather.
COLD AS SNOW
Summer vacation is really just a few days away, but here in the Philippines Mr. Sunshine is just too busy burning out other cities. Rain keeps on falling and how I wish it could have been snow instead, and the weather gets very unpredictable everyday. You actually wouldn't know if its gonna rain or what so getting all dressed up with a leather jacket might just save me from the cold breeze.
WALLS AND FLOWERS
Floral prints and clothes were everywhere last year and it did make a big statement to the people wearing them. It's pleasing in the eyes, very much classy and quite refreshing to look at like bringing me into a happy mood kind of a feeling. So before it goes down the drain to being the so last season's trend (which I think is pretty much happening already) I tried to pull off a look with floral prints all over.
MAN DOWN
Camouflage pants, shirts, caps or bags - fashion now gets inspired by the "cool factor". Let's face it, looking at people on camou uniform, police badges, navy caps and even army boots is cool and I get goosebumps just by passing by them. Well this is not something new in the fashion industry since past trends have there way of coming back to present days, nevertheless, I tried digging in my masculinity and put up this look for a change.
LEATHER AND GOLD
Black leather and gold is like an icing in a cake, it's one of the most inseparable pairs. It's not just the color but it is also the texture, the shimmer and whatever it is that characterizes perfection. Gold in black or black in gold, switch it over and you'll just come up with the same superb combination.
2013 WAS A RUNWAY DREAM COME TRUE.
It has been a year and god I really don't know what to say, maybe I'm just so thankful of everything that has happened to me and my life. 2013 I think was the biggest year for me and for my career. Got to host a lot of big events with my forever partner Ralz San Pedro and also got featured in two big magazines. Much credit to the guy who has been pushing me to my dreams, Young Blood The Aidx Paredes. I bet you've notice seeing his name a lot of times in my recent posts, well that's because he's always been with me in this whole thing and he has actually been influencing me through a lot of stuff lately (including vices, haha!).
Of course all of my posts would be impossible if it wasn't for my forever supportive friend Rona Jane S. Buca who has been my photographer for like.. forever. She actually doesn't get anything from our shoots together except for sun exposure, that's why I'm so thankful for her and I really don't know how to start paying her back.
To you guys who has been following and reading my posts, checking out my pictures, I hope even just a little I have influenced you at some point (even just with yout hair-color) 'cause I think its the whole point of my blog. Thank you guys for keeping up with me, and this 2014 you bet I'll be posing and posting more.
I think I'll be paying attention with colors and details this year. Whatcha think? :)
OUT INTO THE SUN
SPOTTED ON THE STREET
SPOTTED ON THE STREET! Outfit featured in Zee Lifestyle on their issue last August.
I rushed into the nearest National Book Store after The Young Blood Aidx Paredes told me that my face is in Zee Lifestyle on their fashion issue. But of course I was overwhelmed by the idea being in a renowned magazine in the city, not to mention that it is also published nationwide. So to continue the story, yes I bought a copy and starting that day I really can't stop looking at my face at page 148. Hahaha! Got even the page number stuck in my mind!
